Expanding Access to Care

More than 84,000 children in the Milwaukee area have difficulty accessing a dental home, in large part because too few providers accept Medicaid. Community Smiles Dental already serves many Milwaukee families at our existing clinics in Waukesha and Menomonee Falls, with some traveling significant distances to receive the care they need.

By expanding into Milwaukee, we will make it easier for more patients to receive consistent dental care, address needs earlier, and establish a trusted dental home. The clinic’s location within The Beacon will also place Community Smiles Dental alongside other health and wellness providers, creating new opportunities to connect patients with additional services and support in one convenient location.

Growing in the Heart of Milwaukee

Community Smiles Dental’s Milwaukee clinic will be part of The Beacon, Aurora Health Care’s new health and wellness hub at 27th and Wisconsin Avenue. The former Wisconsin Avenue School is being transformed into a place where healthcare, social services and community resources come together under one roof.

That vision is a natural fit for our work. Dental health is closely connected to overall health and well-being, and many of the patients and families we serve face barriers that extend beyond the dental chair. By being part of The Beacon, Community Smiles Dental can provide compassionate dental care while also helping connect patients to a broader network of services, resources and support.

We’re excited to grow in a place built around collaboration and whole-person health. Together with other community partners, we can help create a more connected experience for patients and contribute to a stronger, healthier Milwaukee community.
